Volunteer Support

ASD is thankful for the many generous and caring volunteers who supplement our services with their time, energy, and talents. The agency seeks continued funding for its Volunteer Program, which coordinates more than 1,000 multi-cultural individuals from the North Texas area to provide essential supportive services to residents. Overseen by a full-time Volunteer Coordinator, the Volunteer Program includes ASD's innovative Supper Club, visitation, grounds maintenance, painting, minor repairs, transportation, haircuts, translation and interpretation services, various in-kind donations, and other special projects and events.

The ASD Supper Club Program is an example of one volunteer opportunity available at ASD. This program includes volunteers from more than 75 faith-based and community organizations who provide nutritious evening meals to residents at ASD's facilities. ASD residents rely on this program for interaction and socialization from the volunteer community.
